Job Description and Duties

This position is eligible to participate in a hybrid telework schedule currently requiring a minimum of four days in the office per week. Participation in telework is subject to the State of California’s. Departments and SGMO’s policies and supervisor approval.

The Sustainable Groundwater Management Office (SGMO) is responsible for overseeing groundwater management efforts, including implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), publishing California’s Groundwater - Bulletin 118, and serving as a statewide hub for groundwater data, information, communication, and assistance efforts to ensure the long-term reliability of California’s groundwater resources to support the State’s people, environment, agriculture, and economy.

3) academic or working knowledge of methods to assess water supplies and demands, as well as conducting other complex geological and hydrogeological assessments,

4) academic or working knowledge of mapping and geodatabase software such as ArcGIS.
