Position Overview:
As an Foundry Casting Technician, you will join a dynamic team of the company's winning culture by supporting the Mercury Marine values of: Integrity, Customer Centricity, Product & Service Leadership, Sustainability, and Employee Engagement through the production of high quality inboard and outboard marine engines.

Essential Functions:
- Operate and monitor equipment used in the metal casting process.
- Prepare molds, wax patterns, shells, and casting materials according to established procedures.
- Perform pouring, finishing, grinding, and cleaning operations as required.
- Inspect castings for quality, dimensional accuracy, and defects.
- Utilize measuring tools, gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify product specifications.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues and communicate concerns to leadership.
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and support 5S initiatives.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Safely handle molten metal, chemicals, and production materials while using required personal protective equipment.
- Meet daily production objectives and support departmental efficiency goals.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Assist in training new team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and production documents.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, foundry, casting, machining, or metalworking experience.
- Experience operating industrial equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of investment casting, sand casting, die casting, or other metal casting processes.
- Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures common to foundry and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and protective clothing.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $27.22-$30.79, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
