Job Summary

CNC MACHINIST TOOLMAKER WANTED!

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, setting up, and operating precision machining equipment to produce high-quality tooling and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and toolroom operations will be essential in delivering exceptional manufacturing standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies, including CNC lathes and CNC milling machines ensuring the production of precise tools and parts that meet rigorous quality specifications.

Duties

Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and CAD models using software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360 and CAD to develop detailed tooling designs.
Program, set up, and operate CNC machining centers including CNC lathe and milling machines to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.
Utilize precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, digital height gage, and CMM to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
Fabricate tooling components through manual machining processes like grinding, welding, and fabrication techniques to support manufacturing needs.
Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment, including performing routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to optimize machine performance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret schematics and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for accurate tool fabrication.
Assist in the setup of machining tools and fixtures for production runs while adhering to safety protocols and quality procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in shop math, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement techniques.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code or M-code for CNC lathe and milling operations.
Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms for designing tooling solutions.
Skilled in manual machining processes using hand tools, grinders, mills, lathes, and stamping presses.
Familiarity with fabrication methods relevant to toolmaking.
Understanding and ability to efficiently process, manufacture and assemble tooling from engineered drawings and adhere to required specifications.
Ability to read mechanical schematics accurately for troubleshooting and assembly purposes.
Mechanical knowledge combined with shop experience in toolroom environments focused on manufacturing or tooling production.
