Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Upholstery Seamstress to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality upholstered furniture pieces by expertly sewing and assembling fabric and upholstery materials. Your craftsmanship will ensure each product meets our rigorous quality standards, delivering comfort and style to our valued customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your sewing expertise in a vibrant environment committed to excellence and innovation.

Duties

Measure and cut fabric and upholstery materials accurately using manual cutting tools and measuring instruments.
Operate industrial sewing machines, including serging and standard sewing machines, to assemble upholstery components with precision.
Construct seams following established seam construction techniques, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
Handle materials carefully, maintaining proper storage and movement within the warehouse or production area.
Perform quality checks throughout the sewing process to meet strict quality standards in production.
Use dimensional measurements to verify that finished pieces conform to design specifications.
Assist with fabric handling, embroidery, and finishing touches to enhance the overall appearance of upholstered products.

Requirements

Proven experience in upholstery sewing or garment sewing, with a strong understanding of seam construction and machine operation.
Skilled in using measuring instruments and performing dimensional measurements for accurate fabric cutting and assembly.
Knowledge of fabric materials, upholstery techniques, and safety standards in production environments.
Ability to operate industrial sewing machines, serging equipment, and other related machinery efficiently.
Familiarity with materials handling procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Experience with manual cutting (fabric cutting) and garment construction is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring all products meet quality standards in production while adhering to safety protocols.
