Full Job Description

Objective:

Seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant seeking to support accurate and timely financial operations by assisting with financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations. Dedicated to collaborating cross-functionally and supporting organizational profit and loss objectives under the guidance of the CFO. Committed to contributing to efficient month-end close processes, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and ensuring audit readiness.

Job Duties:

1. Financial Reporting: Assist with Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist with Month End Close.

2. General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reviewing, posting, and adjusting entries as needed.

3. Reconciliation: Conduct bank reconciliations and reconcile other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and analyze variances between forecasted and actual results.

5. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by gathering necessary documentation and addressing auditor requests.

6. Account Payables Analysis: Analyze account balances and transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. Enter vendor payables with 3-way match process, Identify and resolve Vendor discrepancies, Maintain Vendor account data, Process weekly check run

7. Accounting Software Utilization: Use accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data. MAS 90/SAGE 100 very helpful

8. Collaboration: Reports to CFO. Position has no reports. Work closely on-site with other departments to provide insights into financial practices and support our Profit/Loss business objectives.

9. Account Receivables Analysis: Post Cash Receipts, post electronic and paper checks to customer accounts, reconcile credit card transactions, Identify and resolve Customer discrepancies, Contact past due customers.

10. Other Assignments: Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Some college courses or associate’s degree in accounting.

Experience

-Minimum of five years of accounting experience such as Accounts Receivable/Payable.

- Good computer skills, including integrated software programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

-Must be willing to work onsite M-F

Communication— Presents information in a clear and concise manner and communicates effectively in both written and oral. Listens comprehensively and able to take notes accurately with ability to document what was said accurately.

Reliability- Assignments and initiatives done in a consistent and timely manner. Can be counted on for being on time for meetings, work and meeting deadlines. Makes oneself available for projects/tasks that require extra effort to complete on time.

Contacts:

Internal: Has frequent contact with employees and managers.

External: Has contact with customers, vendors and Union representatives.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.

Physical requirements include good speaking, hearing and vision ability, excellent manual dexterity. May occasionally lift

to 10 – 15 pounds.

Be willing and able to walk plant floor for safety audits/inspections, injury investigations, employee and manager interactions.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office and manufacturing environment. In the manufacturing environment, there is exposure to noise, dust, grease and variation in temperatures.

Full-time position. May require some weekend and evening work.

Employees are required to wear safety glasses and full leather shoes in the manufacturing facility.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
