Claims Assistant (Claims Clerk) - Entry Level

Location: Rockwall, Texas
Full-Time | Insurance | Claims

$17.00 to $21.00 per hour DOE

What You’ll Do

As a Claims Assistant/COA, you will be the first point-of-contact for insureds calling to report a claim or check the status of a claim. Your responsibilities will include:

Answer inbound claims calls for both the English and Spanish queues.
Accurately review mail, faxes, and emails to distribute information and upload documents to the appropriate claims file.
Communicate effectively and professionally with third parties (i.e. insurance companies, attorney offices, med providers, and body shops) and update claim files.
Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
Coordinate with adjusters and internal departments to ensure smooth handoffs, timely updates, and complete documentation.
Assist adjusters by taking statements from insureds, copy transcriptions and upload to system.
Assist adjusters with translation assistance.
And, of course, other projects and duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

High School Diploma or GED.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
1+ years of experience of office/customer service experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
Prior experience in insurance is preferred, but not required.
Does not require an adjuster license, but we will assist with obtaining a license in the future.
