Full Job Description

Account Manager - Sales & Client Relations

Clean Advantage Corporation is seeking an experienced, motivated Account Manager to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia.

This is a hands-on position combining business development, contract sales, client relationship management, and service oversight. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, solving problems, and making sure clients receive the level of service they were promised.

This is not a desk-only position. Our Account Managers regularly visit client properties, conduct walkthroughs and inspections, meet with clients, identify opportunities for additional services, and work closely with our Operations team to address service concerns.

What You'll Do - Sales & Business Development

Identify and pursue new commercial janitorial and facility-service opportunities.
Prospect and develop relationships with property managers, management companies, HOAs, commercial buildings, and other target clients.
Conduct property walkthroughs to understand client needs and service requirements.
Assist in developing customized scopes of work and proposals.
Present proposals and confidently communicate the value of Clean Advantage's services.
Follow up consistently with prospects and move opportunities through the sales process.
Maintain an organized and active sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Meet established sales and business-development goals.
Identify opportunities for additional services within existing accounts.

Client & Account Management

Serve as the primary relationship contact for assigned clients.
Develop strong, long-term relationships with property managers and other client representatives.
Conduct regular client check-ins and property visits.
Perform site inspections to ensure service quality and contract compliance.
Identify potential issues before they become client complaints.
Respond quickly and professionally when service concerns arise.
Work closely with Operations and field management to ensure issues are corrected.
Communicate client expectations clearly to the appropriate internal teams.
Monitor account satisfaction and help protect contract renewals.
Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.

What We're Looking For

Provides exceptional customer service, even during difficult conversations.
Is willing to get out into the field and regularly visit client properties.
Notices details and understands that service quality matters.
Can professionally hold others accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
Is organized and able to manage multiple clients, prospects and priorities at the same time.
Communicates clearly and professionally by phone, email and in person.
Is comfortable using CRM systems, email, spreadsheets, and other business technology.
Can work independently while also collaborating closely with Operations and leadership.

Preferred Experience

Account management, outside sales, business development or territory management experience.
Commercial janitorial, facility services, property management or related service-industry experience is a plus.
Experience selling recurring service contracts is strongly preferred.
Experience working with property managers, condominium/HOA communities, multifamily properties or commercial facilities is a plus.

Industry experience is helpful, but we are equally interested in candidates with a strong track record in relationship-based sales, customer service, accountability and problem solving.

Compensation

Base salary plus commission

This position provides the opportunity to earn additional compensation through new business development and sales performance.
