As a locksmith technician you will be trained for a variety of different jobs, focused primarily in automotive locksmithing. Some of the major skills you can expect to learn and implement in your day to day career are: properly opening customer vehicles both through cylinder manipulation using Lishi’s, and traditional breach tools. You will learn the generation of mechanical keys using skills such as sight reading, duplicating, decoding and dealer codes. You will learn programing of various key types using numerous methods including but not limited to on board programing, various diagnostic programers, dealer software, and EEPROM. This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is available in the field of locksmithing.

Training:
The Employee will actively participate in on-the-job training for an average of three months once a job offer has been extended to the Employee by the Company. The duration of this training may vary greatly depending on the Employee and other conditions of the workplace. During training the Employee will be instructed by a senior technician with the goal being: in the final weeks the senior technician is completely hands off and allowing the Employee to operate independently as tho running his/her calls alone. During the course of training the employee will be compensated for their time at a rate of $100 per day.
Please acknowledge while participating in training the senior technician will make every effort to have the employee back to shop around 5pm. HOWEVER, Employee needs to acknowledge that this is NOT a 9-5 job prior to accepting a position or signing a contract with Company
Post Training:
It is the goal of the Company to see each and every employee succeed. In order to provide for some peace of mind we offer three months of guaranteed flat rate income. During these three months we realize the Employee is still learning to operate independently, hone his/her skills, and develop a rhythm. During the first three months Employee will be guaranteed $500 base pay with the opportunity to earn more based on the same commission rate all technicians are paid. Please understand, YOU DO NOT MAKE $500 AND THEN WHATEVER YOU EARNED BASED ON YOUR PERCENTAGE. You are guaranteed $500, and then based on your percentage you earned over your base pay, you will receive the difference in the two.
Wages after the first 90 days:
After three months with the company we feel that the Employee should be operating at a high enough performance rate to earn an equal playing field as all other technicians.
Percentage commission is based on net sales (Gross Sales less Taxes, 3rd Party Fees, Cost of Goods)
All technicians are paid at a rate of 35% commission for regular technician calls. After Hours work and car door openings are paid at 50% commission.
Minimum Employment Time:
Employee hereby agrees to a minimum employment time, at full time status, with the Company of 24 months. Should Employee fail to work for the Company for at least the above-referenced time period, the Employee agrees to pay the company $10,000 for training, education, and other services provided by the Company.
