ENGRAVER / PRECISION PRODUCTION OPERATOR
Second Shift | Seasonal (August 2026 - March 2027) | Ritchey Livestock ID
WHO WE ARE
Farmers and ranchers feed the world.
At Ritchey Livestock ID, we make the identification tags they depend on every day to manage and protect their livestock. It may seem like a small thing — a plastic tag with a number on it — but to the rancher using it, details matter.
A wrong number matters.
A faded tag matters.
A missed order matters.
That’s why we exist.
Ritchey is a small company with high standards, deep agricultural roots, and a belief that craftsmanship still matters. We make livestock ID tags that Never Fade, and we work every day to build a company our customers trust completely.

We are hiring a focused, detail-oriented engraver to help produce custom livestock identification tags.
This is not a chaotic production environment. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys:
- steady work,
- repeatable processes,
- attention to detail,
- hands-on production,
- and the satisfaction of getting things exactly right.
You’ll spend much of your day operating engraving equipment, loading and unloading tags, monitoring engraving quality, and ensuring every order is accurate before it leaves the building.
If you take pride in precision work and can stay focused through repetitive tasks without cutting corners, this could be an excellent fit.

THE RITCHEY MANIFESTO(part mission, part why, part purpose, part because)
Ritchey Livestock ID is a little company that believes in big ideas; a company that enjoys the grind of getting better each day. We make farm & ranch life easier through superior service and by producing a livestock ID tag that Never Fades.
COMPANY HISTORY
Eugene “Gene” Ritchey and his wife, Jo, founded Ritchey in 1964. Gene was raised on a dairy farm and became a lifelong farming and ranching businessman. Through Gene's experience in agriculture, he understood the need for livestock identification that lasts for the life of the animal. For over 50 years, Gene, Jo, and their sons Grant and Craig manufactured the only tags in the market allowing numbers and/or letters to be permanently engraved into a dual-colored tag. This unique method results in information that NEVER FADES, guaranteed. Ritchey Ear Tags are second to none in the industry - unsurpassed in legibility, retention, and durability.
In 2020, the Ritchey family sold the company to the Robert L. Kelley Jr. family out of Western Nebraska. The Kelley family, with deep roots in farming and ranching stretching down to 1926, has doubled down on a strategy to provide the best customer experience and identification tag in the industry.
