Full Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Dental Assistant that has strong communication skills, is detail oriented, and a dependable team player that we can add to our office family.

The position is Full-Time, 4 days a week, Tuesday-Thursday 7-3 & Friday 7-1.

Responsibilities
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial screenings and check oral health history
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays.
Assist dentists chair-side with multiple procedures and surgery
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies

Skills

Proven experience as Dental Assisting or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
Be an excellent team player
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Well-organized and reliable
Experience with Dentrix is helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
