Experienced Part-Time Family Law Paralegal

Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)
Schedule: Part-Time (24 hours per week)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience

About the Firm

We are a Denver-based family law firm dedicated to providing thoughtful, client-centered legal representation in matters involving divorce, custody, grandparents rights, protection orders, kinship adoption and post-decree issues. Seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate part-time family law paralegal to support a solo practitioner.

Responsibilities

Draft and prepare family law pleadings, motions, financial disclosures, and affidavits
Assist with divorce, custody, child support, maintenance, and post-decree matters
Manage case files, calendaring, and court deadlines
File documents using the Colorado Courts E-filing System
Communicate professionally with clients, prospective clients, court staff and opposing counsel
Organize financial documents and discovery responses
Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and mediation matters
Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a family law paralegal
Familiarity with Colorado family law procedures and rules
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Experience filing documents with the Colorado Courts E-filing System
Experience preparing Sworn Financial Statements and mandatory disclosures

Preferred

Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
