Role Overview:
The VP, employee Benefits, is responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients and the management of long-term relationships. This role involves identifying prospective clients, conducting thorough needs assessments, and offering tailored insurance solutions that align with client’s financial goals. The VP, Client Development, is also responsible for exceeding sales targets, negotiating favorable rates with insurance providers, and ensuring all policy paperwork is processed accurately and in compliance with industry standards. This role requires staying informed on industry trends, fostering client satisfaction, and tracking performance metrics to continually improve business outcomes. By providing exceptional service and expertise, this role ensures long-term client retention and contributes significantly to the overall success of the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drive business growth by identifying and qualifying leads, building long-term client relationships, and expanding the client base through networking, referrals, and digital marketing.
· As a trusted consultant, conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand clients’ requirements, demonstrate knowledge, and recommend customized coverage solutions.
· Negotiate with underwriters to determine appropriate policy terms, conditions, and pricing, ensuring solutions in the clients’ best interest.
· Present insurance products to clients, educating them on coverage options, and closing deals that align with their unique needs and financial goals.
· Track and analyze sales performance and client satisfaction to achieve goals using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as new business, retention rates, policy conversions, and referrals.
· Maintain ongoing client relationships, address policy inquiries, provide guidance during claims, and ensure continued client satisfaction and retention.
· Coordinate the collection of all relevant data necessary, working collaboratively with the team to ensure accurate and timely policy processing, including paperwork completion, compliance with company procedures, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
· Stay at the forefront of industry trends, regulatory changes, and company product offerings to provide expert-level advisory services to clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
Education (List any Education, Certificates, or Licenses required below and if required or preferred)
· Bachelor’s / Associate’s degree in <Course of Study> or related field
· Property & Casualty/Life & Health License
Skills/Abilities (List skills necessary for the position (Using phone systems, organization etc)
· Proven track record of building business and success in growing new client acquisitions
· Strong networking skills to build & foster relationships with clients and industry professionals
