Full Job Description

THERAPIST POSITION

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide individual, couples, and family therapy to a diverse population. The therapist will use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients manage mental health issues, improve emotional well-being, and develop coping strategies. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals while being part of a supportive and professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients in accordance with their treatment plans and therapeutic goals.
Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Apply a range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and others as needed based on the client’s needs.
Monitor and document client progress and make adjustments to treatment plans when necessary.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards set by the governing professional bodies.
Educate clients on coping mechanisms, stress management, and life skills to promote mental wellness.
Maintain accurate and timely records of sessions, client progress, and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional development to stay updated on industry best practices and new therapeutic techniques.
Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support or refer clients to appropriate resources as needed.

Requirements:

Knowledge of the disease concept of addiction, 12-step recovery program, and confidentiality practices
At least 2-5 years’ experience in a substance abuse treatment setting
Strong documentation skills in adherence with DCF and other standards
Proficient computer skills; preferred experience with Sunwave /Kipu and Windows OS
Ability to work 40+ hours if needed
Must pass a Background and Local Sheriff Office Screening.
