Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Buyer to provide analytical, operational, and clerical support to our fragrance-buying operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP, purchase order management, and fragrance product categories.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process purchase orders in SAP, manage related paperwork, and support additional buying team tasks.
Reconcile purchase orders with invoices to ensure accuracy.
Conduct market research on fragrance categories, analyze industry trends, and perform cost-benefit analyses to evaluate and compare vendors.
Provide administrative support to the buying team, including reporting, data management, and recordkeeping.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with requirements.
Maintain and update records of purchasing activities and vendor communications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, finance, and sales) to support efficient purchasing operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel (intermediate level: pivot tables, formulas, and reporting).
Strong product knowledge within fragrance categories.
Experienced in purchasing processes, vendor management, and administrative support.
Skilled in conducting market research and performing cost-benefit analyses.
Analytical thinker with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up abilities.
Adept at multitasking and thriving in fast-paced environments.

Education Requirements

1 to 2 years of equivalent experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or related field preferred (not required).

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk using a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and office equipment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday - Onsite
