Full Job Description

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

Smith Community Mental Health is seeking a compassionate Master's Level Therapist to provide therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout Broward County.

This position is primarily community-based, providing services in clients' homes and other approved community settings. Office-based services are provided only when clinically appropriate or requested by the client. Our Plantation office is used for supervision, meetings, documentation, and occasional appointments.

If you enjoy autonomy, flexible scheduling, and meaningful work with a supportive clinical team, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop treatment plans.
Provide individual and family therapy.
Deliver services primarily in clients' homes throughout Broward County.
Coordinate care with families, schools, physicians, and community providers.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and professional development.
Maintain compliance with Medicaid, CARF, and agency standards.
Maintain a flexible schedule, including some afternoon/evening appointments.

Qualifications

Required

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, MFT, Psychology, or related field.
Valid Florida driver's license.
Reliable transportation and auto insurance.
Level II Background Screening.
Willingness to travel throughout Broward County.
Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred

LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Registered Intern.
Experience with community-based or outpatient behavioral health.
Experience serving children, adults, and families.
Training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, or other evidence-based practices.
