Full Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Echo Technician/Sonographer to perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac ultrasound skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

Perform echocardiogram examinations using ultrasound imaging techniques.
Confirm patient identification and review physician orders.
Explain procedures and provide instructions to patients and families.
Obtain high-quality diagnostic cardiac images.
Identify and communicate significant findings to the Cardiologist and ordering physician.
Document patient information, findings, and completed examinations in the EMR.
Maintain accurate records and daily statistics.
Follow HIPAA, infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.
Maintain and properly use ultrasound equipment and supplies.
Participate in continuing education, quality improvement, and clinical activities.
Maintain clinical competency and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Echo Technician/Sonographer experience.
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Echocardiography training program.
High school diploma or GED.
Strong echocardiography and ultrasound imaging experience.
Current BLS certification required.
Must hold RDCS through ARDMS OR RCS through CCI.
Strong EMR and patient documentation skills.
Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
