About Us: Senior Tax Associate - Advisory & Compliance

Nisanov Tax Group is a modern tax advisory firm focused on proactive tax strategy, not just compliance. We work with entrepreneurs, physicians, investors, and high-net-worth individuals to reduce taxes and build long-term wealth.

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Tax Associate on a path to Tax Manager. This is a client-facing role where you’ll manage engagements, review work and gain exposure to advanced tax planning.

You’ll work directly with firm leadership on client strategy, planning, and execution.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (S Corps, partnerships, LLCs, etc.)
Lead client onboarding and setup (QuickBooks, workflows, financial systems)
Manage monthly accounting and bookkeeping (bank recs, close, payroll support)
Prepare and review financial statements
Communicate directly with clients and tax authorities
Implement proactive, strategic tax-saving strategies
Collaborate to improve systems and processes
Mentor junior team members and begin stepping into a supervisory role

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of tax preparation experience (individuals and small business)
3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience (cash & accrual basis)
Active CPA or EA license (required)
Deep knowledge of U.S. small business taxation
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Entrepreneurial mindset — you enjoy solving problems and building systems

Preferred: ProSeries experience, international tax exposure
