SUMMARY
The IT Specialist is responsible for the local network structure and database that allows TSAY to run efficiently and effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Administration and oversight of network design, implementation, organization and troubleshooting.
· Provide technical support and perform all required backup actions to properly manage network hubs, routers, and servers
· Ensures stable operation of the network and databases by consistently scheduling and implementing updates and functionality tests; identifies and resolves any issues that are identified during the testing process.
· Provides troubleshooting and implementation of CMMS databases.
· Update and maintain databases such as SQL Server and Microsoft Access.
· Knowledge of object-based programming and SQL queries.
· Analyzes and recommends software and hardware to maximize productivity for all networks.
· Data base management knowledge.
· Network administration skills with active directory.
· Monitor underlying communication protocols and supporting network hardware and software.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
· Must be proficient in Excel.
· Must be able to qualify for security clearance within one month.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft suite, specifically excel and Access.
· Organized with attention to detail.
· Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Working knowledge of various computer operating systems and interfaces.
· Must be available after hours to provide IT Support as needed.
· Must obtain Security Plus requirements within 90 days of employment.
· Employees are required to drive company vehicles on a Federal Installation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information technologies.
- Minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
- Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers, and staff members.
