Full Job Description

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the implementation, security, and ongoing management of the Club's technology infrastructure and information systems, and for translating the technology plan set with the CIO into working operations. The position oversees network operations, hardware and software administration, cybersecurity, data protection, vendor relationships, and technology projects supporting approximately 180 staff users and member-facing systems across the property. The Club operates a co-sourced model — internal staff for daily support, a managed services provider for network, server, and after-hours coverage, and CIO-level leadership for strategy and architecture. The IT Manager takes direction from the Club's CIO or other designated senior manager, builds and manages the Club's internal support function, owns execution, and holds vendors accountable.

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior technical escalation point for networking, servers, virtualization, cloud, storage, backup, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery issues.
Build and manage the Club's internal support function, including help desk structure, staffing, intake, triage, resolution, and follow-through.
Take direction from the Club's CIO or other designated senior manager on priorities, architecture, and vendor decisions.
Administer the Microsoft 365 and Entra ID tenant, Windows domain and hybrid identity, endpoint management through Intune, firewalls, and certificates.
Manage account provisioning and deprovisioning, including seasonal onboarding surges and same-day access removal at separation.
Serve as the Club's internal security lead: MFA and conditional access, endpoint detection and response, email security, patching, and privileged access.
Own backup and recovery — verify backups, test restores on a defined schedule, and maintain documented recovery capability for critical systems.
Maintain and exercise the incident response plan; coordinate internally during security events and support cyber insurance attestations and control evidence.
Manage access rights and operational stability of Jonas Club Management, including point-of-sale, reservations, tee sheet, and member billing.
Support point-of-sale hardware, property-wide wireless, digital signage and kiosks, event audiovisual systems, access control and cameras, and guest room technology.
Manage vendor relationships day to day — service reviews, contract validation, invoice review, quotes, and renewals ahead of expiration.
Maintain documentation: network diagrams, configurations, credentials in the approved password platform, license records, and standard procedures.
Participate in implementation projects — migrations, upgrades, renovations with a technology component, and new platform rollouts — scheduled around Club operations.
Supervise help desk staff: set performance goals, distribute workload, conduct reviews, and deliver staff and new-hire training on Club systems.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and three to five years of prior IT management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior private club, hospitality, or resort experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing outsourced service providers.

Technical Knowledge

Network infrastructure, enterprise operating systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data privacy, and backup and disaster recovery.
Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, Windows Server and domain services, virtualization, Intune or comparable endpoint management, switching, routing, enterprise wireless, and firewalls.
Identity protection, conditional access, endpoint detection and response, and incident response practice.
Business-critical applications, telecommunications, audiovisual technologies, and end-user computing environments.
Preferred: Jonas Club Management or comparable club management and POS platform, access control and video surveillance, and mobile device management.
Ability to evaluate technology risk, manage vendors and technology assets, and sustain secure, reliable operations for staff and members.

Soft Skills

Ability to align technology investments with the Club's short- and long-term goals.
Integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment handling confidential member and employee information.
Composure during outages and security events; accountability and ethical decision-making.
Strong service orientation and the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical audiences.

Methodologies

Change management, IT service management, project management, vendor management, and business continuity planning.
Experience operating within a documented incident response process.

Working Conditions

On-site position; business professional attire; occasional remote work at management's discretion.
Seven-day operation with significant evening, weekend, holiday, and seasonal activity; presence required for major events, system changes, and incidents.
Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation with the Club's service provider.
Ability to move throughout the property and outbuildings, access equipment rooms and wiring closets, and lift up to fifty pounds.
