Carrier Placement – CDL Driver Placement & Employer Relations

Location: On-Site | Full-Time Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00
Compensation:

Hourly Base Pay Plus Uncapped Commission
On Target $70,000-$90,000

Connect CDL Graduates with Top Trucking Companies

We are looking for an experienced Carrier Placement Recruiter to lead job placement efforts for graduates of our CDL training program. This position is responsible for developing relationships with trucking carriers, placing TransTech qualified CDL graduates into rewarding careers, and ensuring employers have access to skilled, job-ready drivers.This role combines business development, recruiting, account management, and workforce development. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys building partnerships and helping students transition into successful driving careers.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with regional and national trucking carriers.
Recruit new carrier partners to expand employment opportunities for graduates.
Match qualified CDL graduates with carrier hiring requirements.
Coordinate interviews and hiring events.
Serve as the primary point of contact between graduates and employer partners.
Maintain consistent communication with active drivers during the hiring process.
Follow up after placement to ensure successful employment and retention.
Track placement metrics, hiring activity, and employer engagement using CRM software.
Work closely with Admissions, Instructors, and Student Services to identify job-ready graduates.
Stay informed on industry hiring trends, CDL regulations, pay packages, and carrier requirements.
Represent the school at recruiting events, job fairs, and industry networking opportunities.
Meet monthly placement, employer growth, and retention goals.

QualificationsRequired

2+ years of experience in carrier CDL truck driver staffing in the transportation or logistics industry.
Experience working with CDL drivers or trucking companies.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to manage multiple employer accounts and candidate pipelines.
Experience using CRM or applicant tracking systems.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Preferred

Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Experience in workforce development, transportation career services or transportation recruitment or staffing.
Existing relationships within the trucking industry are a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
