Our services include personalized care, support, and reliable non-medical transportation to help clients maintain their independence and dignity.

Byrams Homecare seeks professional and courteous Non-Medical Transportation Chauffeurs to join our growing team. If you enjoy helping others and have a strong sense of responsibility, this role is perfect for you!

Education/Qualifications

Safely transport clients to and from appointments, errands, social outings, and other activities in a timely manner.
Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle to ensure a positive transportation experience.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, addressing their needs and concerns during transportation.
Follow scheduled routes and adjust as necessary to meet client needs or road conditions.
Complete daily logs and reports for each trip, including mileage, destinations, and any notable incidents.
Monitor and maintain the vehicle's condition by performing routine checks (e.g., fuel, oil, tire pressure) and reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
At least 2 years of professional driving experience (experience in non-medical transportation is a plus).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist clients with mobility devices such as walkers or wheelchairs.
Bilingual skills preferred, but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience working with seniors or individuals with limited mobility.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
