Independently Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Locations:

Arlington, VA

Summary: We are looking for Exceptional Mental Health Clinicians who sees kids and teens to join our team of dynamic, relatable, and motivated therapists.

Ideal candidates are:

Team oriented, innovative, warm, can laugh at themselves, want to learn, and are ready for private pay
Child focused, meaning that the bulk of their caseload would be comprised of child, adolescent, and/or family therapy cases. Candidates would also be able to work with adults or couples if there is a demand and if the clinical fit is indicated.

Our Clinicians

A&C allows us to provide coordinated care to clients, meaning that we frequently share families among psychiatry, assessment, and multiple therapists. We collaborate as a group of dynamic clinicians, teaching and learning from each other as we grow. At A&C, we do the hard work of improving mental health together.

We offer: therapy at lower rates, emergency mental health support, speaking engagements, targeted interventions, fundraising opportunities, and a social justice fund.

What’s the Plan?

Training

With the team as our foundation, we aim to develop therapists that provide exceptional care and exceptional leadership. Through internship and residency, we provide the highest quality supervision and opportunities to develop management skills. Our goal is for you to be able to transition into licensure with a full caseload and multiple options for continued growth and flexibility.

During residency, you can expect:

Weekly 1:1 supervision

Weekly small group supervision

Weekly didactic trainings on special topics

Licensure

Once licensed, clinicians can focus their growth in different areas, which may change and shift at different stages of life.

Therapy- Clinicians prioritize seeing clients. They help by focusing on their zone of genius, client care.

Leadership- Clinicians prioritize seeing clients along with supporting the A&C team and our communities. Leadership opportunities include the following roles: supervisor, community director, therapist recruiter, community liaison. A&C leaders allow us to impact more people while also diversifying income streams and activities for our clinicians.

Throughout, we prioritize collaboration, connection, and growth.

A&C compensates our licensed clinicians commensurate with the exceptional care that they offer. By pooling resources, we provide a level of security that is only attainable as a group while also allowing clinicians to focus primarily on helping clients and generating revenue. A&C provides:

Administrative team to handle inquiries and intakes. You are matched with your preferred type of client.

You don’t spend time calling inquiries who are a bad fit, don’t work within your availability, or can’t afford your current rates

Administrative team to handle billing
Professional Email
Office space around walking trails
Professional Development: Weekly meetings to provide support, including case consultation, special topics, and business development
On the spot case consultation as needed with a team of specialists
Access to google drives, with trainings and manuals
Professional and Personal Camaraderie
Professional and social events
As a W2 employer, we provide:
Compensation: Percentage compensation for residents

When compared to Independent Contractor, we pay .07 of your income tax
