Stone Surfaces USA LLC is a wholesale and retail supplier of premium natural stone, quartz, marble, granite, and related surface materials serving customers throughout Florida.
As part of our continued growth, we are modernizing our internal operations by transitioning paper-based inventory, sales, order, invoice, and administrative processes into centralized digital systems.
We are looking for an Associate Application Programmer to support the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of internal business applications used across our sales, inventory, and administrative operations.
What You’ll Do
Application Development
· Develop, modify, test, and maintain internal business applications supporting inventory, sales, orders, invoices, and administrative workflows.
· Build application components using JavaScript, Python, Node.js, or comparable programming technologies.
· Develop responsive web-based forms and interfaces for internal business users.
· Translate defined business requirements and paper-based workflows into structured digital application features.
· Debug application issues, correct programming errors, and improve existing application functionality.
· Maintain source code and application changes using Git or comparable version-control tools.
Database & Digital Records
· Write and maintain SQL queries supporting inventory, customer, sales order, invoice, and transactional data.
· Develop application functions for creating, retrieving, updating, validating, and processing business records.
· Support relational database structures used for tracking stone slabs, bundles, remnants, inventory locations, orders, and sales activity.
· Perform data validation and help identify duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records.
· Help maintain the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of digital business records.
API & Systems Integration
· Develop and maintain integrations between internal applications and approved third-party business platforms.
· Configure and test REST APIs using documented endpoints, JSON, and authentication methods.
· Support integrations involving accounting, inventory, website, and business systems, including QuickBooks-related workflows.
· Develop scripts for importing, exporting, formatting, validating, and reconciling structured business data.
· Troubleshoot integration errors, failed transactions, authentication issues, and data-processing problems.
AWS, Cloud & Data Protection
· Assist with deploying and maintaining internal applications in AWS or comparable cloud environments.
· Support cloud resources used for application hosting, data storage, managed databases, backups, and application monitoring.
· Implement application-level authentication, user permissions, and role-based access controls.
· Follow established practices for protecting application credentials, API keys, and confidential business information.
· Support secure application communication using HTTPS/TLS and other approved security controls.
· Configure and monitor scheduled backups of databases and application data.
· Assist with recovery testing to help ensure invoices, sales orders, inventory records, and other digital business records remain available for future access.
· Review application and cloud logs to identify errors, failed processes, or issues affecting data availability and application performance.
Testing & Documentation
· Perform functional and regression testing for new and modified application features.
· Test forms, database operations, integrations, permissions, calculations, and data-processing results.
· Review application logs and error messages to help reproduce and troubleshoot software issues.
· Document application workflows, database processes, integrations, cloud configurations, and backup procedures.
· Create clear technical and user documentation for internally developed applications.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems with substantial programming/database coursework, or a closely related computing field.
· 0–2 years of experience in application programming, database development, web application development, or a closely related technical area.
· Relevant internships, academic projects, capstone projects, research, or technical portfolios may be considered.
· Foundational knowledge of JavaScript, Python, Node.js, or comparable programming technologies.
· Understanding of relational databases and SQL using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or comparable platforms.
· Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and web application concepts.
· Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, Git, debugging, and software testing.
· Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud environments.
· Basic understanding of authentication, access control, backups, recovery, secure credential management, and data protection practices.
Preferred Qualifications
· Exposure to React, Express.js, Flask, Django, or another modern web application framework.
· Academic or project experience with AWS services related to application hosting, storage, databases, monitoring, or backups.
· Exposure to QuickBooks integrations or other business-system APIs.
· Experience with inventory, retail, distribution, supply-chain, or business information systems.
· Familiarity with barcode or QR-based inventory workflows.
· Experience working with structured data imports, exports, or digital record-management processes.

Work Environment
