Experienced Home Health Marketer – Established Referral Network Required

Operating Area: Fort Myers and the surrounding Southwest Florida service area – Regular local field travel required

Applicants must have recent, successful marketing experience specifically within Medicare-certified skilled home health and an established professional referral network in Southwest Florida.
If you are new to home health marketing, are still developing your contacts, or cannot demonstrate a history of generating qualified home health referrals, this position is not the right fit.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Home Health Marketer who can begin developing qualified referral opportunities immediately through an established local network.
The successful candidate must have active professional relationships with referral sources such as:
- Hospital case managers and discharge planners
- Physicians and physician-office referral coordinators
- Rehabilitation facilities and skilled nursing facilities
- Assisted living facilities and senior communities
- Outpatient clinics and other appropriate community referral sources
An established book of business means active professional relationships and a demonstrated history of producing qualified home health referral opportunities. It does not mean a purchased contact list or general healthcare sales experience without measurable home health results.
Applicants must be prepared to discuss their previous territory, types of referral sources, average monthly referral and admission results, and a realistic 30/60/90-day business-development plan. Do not provide patient names, protected health information, or confidential materials belonging to a current or former employer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with home health referral sources throughout the agency’s service area
- Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified referrals for Medicare-certified skilled home health services
- Conduct regular in-person visits to hospitals, physician offices, facilities, and community partners
- Educate referral partners regarding the agency’s services, service area, capabilities, quality ratings, and referral process
- Identify new business-development opportunities and expand the agency’s referral network
- Coordinate closely with intake and clinical leadership to support timely referral review and admission
- Maintain accurate documentation of marketing visits, contacts, referral activity, and follow-up
- Prepare and execute weekly marketing plans
- Meet established and measurable business-development expectations
- Follow all federal and state requirements, agency compliance policies, and patient freedom-of-choice requirements
- Represent the agency professionally and accurately without offering improper incentives or making misleading promises
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of recent, successful marketing experience with a Medicare-certified skilled home health agency
- Established professional referral relationships within Southwest Florida
- Demonstrated history of consistently generating qualified home health referrals and admissions
- Working knowledge of Medicare home health services, eligibility requirements, referral procedures, and the admission process
- Ability to independently manage a territory and produce measurable results
- Strong communication, presentation, networking, and follow-up skills
- Professional references who can verify relevant home health marketing experience
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally
- Ability to pass all required employment screening
Compensation
Estimated compensation is $3,000–$10,000+ per month, depending on experience, performance, and the final employment arrangement. Compensation expectations and performance measures will be provided in writing and structured in accordance with applicable laws and agency policies.
