We have exciting first-shift opportunities for entry-level and experienced Component Assembly Technicians in our High-Reliability (Hi-Rel) Component Assembly Department.
Our technicians manufacture precision, high-frequency RF components used in drones, unmanned vehicles, missile systems, satellites, and other critical aerospace and defense systems that help protect the United States and its allies.
This is an on-site position at our Stuart, Florida facility. Candidates must currently live on, or be willing to relocate to, Florida’s Treasure Coast.

Position Summary
The Component Assembly Technician assembles small, high-precision RF and microwave components using arbor presses, custom-designed fixtures, specialized hand tools, and detailed work instructions. The work involves installing and securing contacts, insulators, housings, and other small component parts while maintaining exact mechanical tolerances.
Some assignments may involve limited soldering, but soldering is not the primary focus of this position. Training will be provided for qualified candidates who demonstrate the necessary mechanical ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and break down component assembly jobs.
- Obtain and verify the correct components, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions for each job.
- Use arbor presses, custom assembly tooling, hand tools, microscopes, and measuring equipment.
- Assemble contacts, insulators, bodies, housings, and other small precision components.
- Perform press-fit, staking, crimping, insertion, and other controlled assembly operations.
- Conduct in-process inspections to confirm proper fit, alignment, workmanship, and dimensional compliance.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, bills of material, routers, and written assembly instructions.
- Identify damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming materials and report them to the supervisor or Quality Department.
- Perform basic troubleshooting in accordance with approved work instructions.
- Accurately complete production, lot-control, and inspection records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
- Return tooling and equipment in good working condition to Assembly Manager
- Meet production schedules without compromising quality or workmanship.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work with very small components and precision tooling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Steady hands and patience when performing detailed assembly work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and established procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and dimensions.
- Ability to recognize proper component fit, alignment, and workmanship.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality requirements.
- Ability to lift and move boxes and materials as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in precision assembly, connector assembly, aerospace manufacturing, medical-device manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, machining, jewelry making, watch repair, or another detailed hands-on occupation.
- Experience using arbor presses, microscopes, custom fixtures, torque tools, calipers, micrmeters, or other precision equipment.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ESD controls, or aerospace quality requirements.
- Experience working with RF connectors, microwave components, electromechanical components, or cable assemblies.
- Basic soldering experience is helpful but not required.
- Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical ability, good hand-eye coordination, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Physical Demands
This position involves regular physical activity in a manufacturing and assembly environment. The employee must be able to:
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 40 pounds as needed during the shift.
- Carry materials up and down stairs when required by the assigned work area.
- Stand for up to four hours at a time while performing assembly and related tasks.
- Sit for up to four hours at a time while performing assembly, inspection, documentation, or related tasks.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements and fine-motor tasks associated with precision assembly.
- Use hands and fingers to handle, position, and assemble small components.
- Reach with hands and arms and walk or move throughout the work area.
- Perform work requiring close vision, color recognition, and attention to small details.
