Position Summary
The Glazier installs commercial storefront systems, aluminum framing, entrances, and a full range of glass products. This role is hands-on and field-based, working from a company vehicle on job sites across our territory. Our commercial projects take us across Arkansas and Oklahoma, so regular travel is part of the job — including overnight stays when a project is out of town. When you travel, lodging is company-paid and you receive a per diem. From time to time, you may also assist our overhead door division, though glazing will remain your primary focus.
Glazing experience is preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate. What we can’t train is attention to detail, reliability, and the drive to figure things out.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Install storefront and curtainwall systems, glass, and aluminum framing
- Measure openings accurately for fabrication and installation.
- Cut, fit, and secure glass according to specifications.
- Replace broken or damaged glass.
- Install weatherproofing materials, sealants, and glazing compounds.
- Read blueprints and shop drawings.
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications and applicable building codes.
- Operate glazing equipment, lifts, hand tools, and power tools safely.
- Transport glass materials safely to job sites.
- Complete service reports and installation documentation accurately in our field software.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean, working order.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding work performed and recommendations.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites.
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies; participate in safety meetings and required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Glazing, commercial storefront, or construction trade experience preferred, but not required. We train.
- Ability to read measurements accurately and work to tight tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail - glass work is precision work.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills — the ability to assess a situation in the field and work it to a solution.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects, including overnight stays.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to pass drug tests.

Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 75 lbs. frequently; larger glass units with team assistance or lifting equipment.
- Work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts, including work at heights.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to safely handle glass products.
Work Environment
- Primarily commercial construction sites across Arkansas and Oklahoma.
- Regular travel across Arkansas and Oklahoma, including overnight stays for out-of-town projects — company-paid lodging and per diem provided.
- Exposure to weather, dust, noise, and construction hazards.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and fall protection when applicable.
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Forklift and aerial lift certification (or ability to obtain — we’ll get you certified)
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience operating skid steers, telehandlers, or material lifts
