Medical Billing & Coding Specialist — Be the Financial Backbone of Care That Matters

Join our pediatric therapy clinic in Fort Smith, AR, where your coding and billing expertise directly supports the kids and families we serve every day. What You'll Do

You'll be at the heart of our practice's financial health, including:

Assigning accurate ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG codes to diagnoses and procedures
Reviewing medical records closely to ensure coding and billing are spot-on
Preparing and submitting claims to insurance companies through our EMR/EHR system
Following up on unpaid claims and handling medical collections when needed
Keeping our practice compliant with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements
Maintaining clean, accurate, and up-to-date billing documentation and records
Partnering with our providers to clarify documentation so coding is always precise
Staying sharp on the latest ICD, CPT, and DRG coding updates
Helping resolve billing discrepancies and answering patient questions about their statements with clarity and care

What You'll Need

Prior experience in medical billing and coding in a healthcare setting preferred
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and medical office software
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, records management, and coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, DRG)
Solid grasp of billing processes, collections, and insurance claim submission
Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations around coding and billing
Experience with ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT coding systems highly desirable
Ability to interpret complex medical documentation with accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail in data entry and recordkeeping
