North Hills Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our small animal practice in Sherwood, Arkansas. This is an outstanding opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine, surgery, mentorship, and practice growth while continuing to maintain an active clinical caseload.
As Medical Director, you'll partner with hospital leadership to foster a collaborative culture, mentor fellow veterinarians, uphold medical excellence, and help shape the future of a well-established practice. What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff
- Practice high-quality small animal medicine and surgery
- Promote medical excellence and maintain gold standard of care
- Partner with hospital leadership to support hospital growth and strategic initiatives
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
- Support the professional development of associate veterinarians
- Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional communication and patient care
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary school
- Active (or eligible) Arkansas veterinary license
- Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred
- Strong surgical and medical skills with an interest in continuing to grow surgical services
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Collaborative leadership style with a growth mindset

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
