Auburn Village has immediate has only 1 opening for a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) so you need to apply today!

Located in Auburn, IN, just north of Fort Wayne, we have a Full-Time Opening ON DAYS, 12-hour day shift - 5a-5p. Must work every other weekend both days.

Earn between $21.20 - $25.20 (depending on benefits chosen or Waived, shift and includes sign-on bonus)Up to $2500 Sign-On Bonus paid out hourly at $1.20 per hour until Max reached

Responsibilities of the Qualified Medication Aide (QMA):

The Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) is responsible for the continuous improvement of total quality care as it relates to providing nurse aide services to facilities requiring the services of a Nurse Aide. In addition, the QMA will:

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Supervise caregivers and respond to situations based on QMA nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol
Report on the condition of patients to the appropriate supervisor and other staff members
Perform tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge and local, state and federal guidelines and the policies of the facility

Requirements:

Requirements of the Qualified Medication Aide (QMA):

Graduate of a state-approved training class for QMAs
Completion of or enrollment in a state-approved Qualified Medication Aide course
Qualified Medication Aide Certification from the State of Indiana or in process
Must be open to working floor as a CNA when needed
Experience with g-tubes and trach/vent patients a PLUS
Able to organize and complete work in a timely manner
Able to meet the physical demands of the position: stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds
