Join the Parkview Neonatal and Newborn Nursery Team!

The PPG Neonatal and Newborn Nursery team is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our team that cares for our most vulnerable patient population within the communities we serve. Join a robust and growing practice that currently consists of 7 Neonatologists and 8 APPs. An interested candidate should have the ability to collaborate with intra-interdepartmental team members as well as community organizations or members. A qualified candidate would have the ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to best serve our patients.

Schedule and Responsibilities

Work locations at PRMC Level III NICU with an in-house Neonatologist and Parkview Randallia Level II Special Care Nursery with a Newborn Hospitalist
Participate in 24/7 coverage of both units: day and night shifts of varying durations, with option for occasional 24-hour shifts
Clinical responsibilities include attendance of high-risk deliveries and participation in admissions, daily rounding, discharges, procedures, and neonatal transports
Ability to participate in unit Quality Improvement initiatives and workgroups

Job Requirements for Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)

Graduate of Master of Science from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program (DNP optional)
Current or pending state license for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
Minimum 1 year of experience as an APP preferred

Job Requirements for Neonatal Physician Assistant

Graduate of a Masters’ degree program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant Program (ARC-PA)
Completion of a Neonatal specific post-graduate APP training program
Current or pending state license
Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred

Certifications as required by specialty which may be but are not limited to:

BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS/ACLS-EP
NRP
