Our projects include underground utilities, excavation, trenching, concrete, earthwork, site development, and large-scale mission-critical construction.
As a Safety Technician, you'll be actively involved in day-to-day field operations and serve as a safety resource for project leadership and crews.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Implement and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs).
-
Conduct daily jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
-
Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and work with field leadership to implement corrective actions.
-
Lead and participate in toolbox talks, pre-task planning, and Task Hazard Analysis (THA) discussions.
-
Monitor high-risk construction activities, including excavation, trenching, fall protection, heavy equipment operations, and underground utility work.
-
Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to plan work safely and address changing jobsite conditions.
-
Support incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, documentation, and corrective action planning.
-
Maintain accurate and timely safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and other required records.
-
Coach field employees on safe work practices and reinforce company safety expectations.
-
Support employee safety orientations and field training.
-
Mentor junior safety personnel as needed.
-
Communicate safety concerns clearly and professionally with employees, subcontractors, clients, and project leadership.
-
Support projects in multiple states and regions based on operational needs.
-
3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably within heavy civil, civil infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical construction.
-
OSHA 30 certification required.
-
Strong working knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.

-
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work effectively with craft employees, Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and company leadership.
