Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Tax Preparer and become a vital part of helping individuals and businesses navigate the complex world of tax compliance and reporting. In this energetic role, you will utilize your expertise in tax law, accounting, and financial concepts to prepare accurate tax returns, ensure compliance with regulations, and deliver exceptional client service. Whether you have experience in public accounting or specialized partnership and corporate tax expertise, your enthusiasm for financial concepts and client communication will drive success here.

Duties

Prepare detailed individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns using advanced tax preparation software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software platforms
Analyze financial documents, including tax documents and reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and provide guidance on tax planning strategies
Stay updated on changes in tax law and regulations to ensure all filings meet legal requirements and optimize client benefits
Assist clients with tax reporting requirements, including documentation for audits or inquiries from taxing authorities
Support client acquisition efforts by providing excellent customer service and building long-term relationships through professional advice and timely responses
Collaborate with team members on complex tax issues such as partnership or corporate tax scenarios, leveraging your expertise to deliver precise results

Qualifications

Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related fields with a strong understanding of individual and corporate taxation
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar financial tools; familiarity with tax preparation software is essential
Solid knowledge of tax law, compliance standards, and reporting procedures across various business structures
Excellent analysis skills combined with high accuracy in math—10 key typing skills are highly valued—ensuring precise calculations and data entry
Strong customer service orientation with effective client communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments
Relevant certifications or ongoing education in accounting or taxation are preferred but not required
