CPC Commodities, a feed manufacturer in Fountain Run, Kentucky, is looking for a Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations at our feed mill. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating bulk feed production, managing the production schedule, and leading the employees who keep the mill running safely and efficiently.
The right candidate will be a strong leader who can organize people and priorities, solve problems as they arise, and keep production moving while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and accuracy.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and adjust the daily bulk feed production schedule.
- Make sure feed is produced accurately and on time to meet customer and delivery needs.
- Lead, supervise, and provide daily direction to production employees.
- Assign work and coordinate staffing based on production priorities.
- Monitor production progress and respond to equipment downtime, ingredient issues, staffing challenges, and changing priorities.
- Work closely with dispatch, transportation, maintenance, inventory, and plant management to keep operations running smoothly.
- Coach employees, provide feedback, address performance concerns, and help develop a strong production team.
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures, feed quality requirements, and established production processes.
- Monitor production efficiency, downtime, housekeeping, and equipment performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, and overall mill performance.
- Ensure production records and required documentation are completed accurately.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can lead people while also understanding the demands of a fast-moving production environment.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or production leadership experience.
- Experience in feed manufacturing, grain operations, agriculture, manufacturing, or a similar production environment.
- Experience coordinating or scheduling production is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to organize multiple priorities and make good decisions under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively when plans change.
- Willingness to hold employees accountable while building a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn production and scheduling systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.

A successful Production Supervisor keeps the production team organized and the mill moving. You'll be expected to balance safety, feed quality, customer needs, employee performance, and production efficiency while making sure the right feed is produced at the right time.

Work Environment
This position works in an active feed mill/manufacturing environment and requires regular time in production areas. The work environment may include dust, noise, changing temperatures, moving equipment, stairs, ladders, and elevated work areas.
The position may require extended hours, weekends, holidays, or schedule flexibility based on production needs.
