Full Job Description

The Workforce Network Office seeks a savvy candidate to work full time as an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant II maintains general ledgers by posting credits and debits, reconcile accounts, process accounts payables/receivables, monitors, and track budget expenditures, assist Fiscal Manager with reporting, audits, and monitoring activities and processes payroll for the departmental needs.

Schedule:

37.5hrs per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Process Account Payable/Receivables, process bills for payment to vendors and deposit incoming checks.
Work with Fiscal Manager on month end processes to verify spending in each program/funding stream.
Work with Fiscal Manager on quarterly reporting for State and County.
Enter vacation, sick and personal time for employees in payroll system when instructed to do so by management.
Assist Fiscal Manager with collecting, reviewing, and submitting fiscal documentation for annual audits. Assist Fiscal Manager with Sub-recipient monitoring.
Processes outgoing/incoming mail.
Assist staff with questions regarding bills.
Provide Case Management support to maintain and reconcile program customer services and expenses
Performs other duties as assigned.
To include general office administrative duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education and Experience:

Associates degree in Accounting preferred
3 year's related experience handling files, records and data entry any combination of education which provides the required knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.
