What You'll Do
- Program, set up, and machine complex prototype and low-volume components using GibbsCAM software.
- Perform advanced CNC machine setups and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
- Machine tight-tolerance parts that require precision, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
- Verify part quality using precision measuring equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming challenges while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and fellow machinists to develop the best manufacturing solutions.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for experienced machinists who enjoy challenging work, take pride in producing exceptional parts, and want to continue growing their skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Five or more years of CNC machining experience involving programming, setups, and precision machining.
- Experience programming with GibbsCAM or comparable CAM software.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Experience machining complex, tight-tolerance components.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and height gauges.
- Technical training or machining certification is a plus.
As part of our hiring process, candidates will complete a hands-on technical evaluation designed to demonstrate their machining knowledge and abilities.
