Full Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychotherapist licensed or limited licensed in the State of Michigan to provide therapy and support services to children, adolescents, and young adults under age 21.

This position is ideal for a clinician who is eager to strengthen their clinical skills, grow professionally, and become part of an inspiring and supportive team. Clinical supervision is available for eligible limited-license professionals, including TLLPs, LLPs, LLMSWs, and other qualifying Michigan credentials.

Schedule

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule that accommodates school-aged clients:

Two days per week: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Three days per week: 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Each shift is 7.5 hours
Total schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

Conduct clinical intake assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults
Provide individual psychotherapy addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, behavioral concerns, adjustment difficulties, and related needs
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client’s presenting concerns and goals
Provide family therapy and group therapy when clinically appropriate
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, and other service providers as authorized
Maintain timely, accurate, and professional clinical documentation
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed
Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, training, and team meetings
Follow professional ethics, confidentiality requirements, and applicable Michigan laws and regulations

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in social work, clinical psychology, counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field
Current Michigan license or limited license that permits the delivery of psychotherapy under appropriate supervision
Interest in working with clients under age 21 and their families
Knowledge of multiple evidence-based treatment approaches
Familiarity with treating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and related emotional or behavioral concerns
Ability to work the required afternoon and evening schedule
Strong communication, documentation, time-management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team

Preferred Qualifications

Experience providing therapy to children and adolescents
Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy, play-based interventions, motivational interviewing, or other age-appropriate treatment approaches
Experience conducting clinical intakes and developing treatment plans
Experience facilitating family or group therapy
Commitment to continued learning and professional development
