Full Job Description

Location: Travel Based, Domestic & International

Compensation: $110,000-$140,000 annual salary + up to 15% bonus

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance

Schedule: On-site, Rotational (ex. 3 weeks on, 1 week off)

Reports to: Protection Team Lead (TL)

Role Overview

Provide close protection as part of an executive security detail. You'll execute protective formations, conduct surveillance detection, manage secure perimeters, and respond to threats. Work as part of a coordinated team under the TL’s direction, maintaining constant vigilance to ensure client safety in all environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Personal Protection

Execute and maintain protective formations around client during all movements
Conduct constant, vigilant surveillance of surroundings to detect potential threats
Control access to client in both public and private settings
Manage crowd interactions and approaching individuals
Shield or evacuate client during emergency situations
Report all observations and security concerns immediately to TL

Operational Support

Conduct counter-surveillance activities during client movements
Establish and manage secure perimeters during static positions
Execute planned travel routes and security procedures
Assist client movements through airports, hotels, venues, and various environments
Support protective intelligence collection in the field
Follow emergency response protocols as directed by TL

Team Collaboration

Work effectively within protection team both supervised and independently
Communicate security concerns using established protocols
Respond immediately to security incidents as part of coordinated response
Integrate seamlessly with additional protective elements (ie. local law enforcement, venue staff & security)
Participate in pre-operation briefings and provide operational feedback
Follow instructions from Detail Leader and team coordinators

Required QualificationsExperience & Background

7+ years in security services, executive protection, active duty military, law enforcement tactical units, or equivalent security roles
Demonstrated hands-on operational experience in protective operations
Proven track record executing protective formations and movement techniques
Experience working in small, high-performance teams

Certifications & Legal

Valid driver’s license and passport (without operating or travel restrictions)
EMT-B or equivalent emergency medical certification (preferred)
Advanced protective operations training from recognized institution (preferred)
Clean background check (required)

Physical Requirements

Meet department physical fitness standards for protective operations
Stand/walk for 8+ hours while maintaining alertness
React instantly and move quickly to defensive positions
Physical capability to shield, control, or evacuate client
Lift and carry equipment up to [60] lbs
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for threat detection
Maintain situational awareness over long durations with minimal rest

Preferred Qualifications

International Experience: Previous protection operations outside the U.S.
Advanced Training: Defensive tactics, behavioral threat assessment, surveillance detection certification
Language Skills: Proficiency in [Spanish/French/Mandarin/Arabic] or other relevant languages
Driving: Advanced/emergency vehicle operations certification
Advance Work: Experience conducting comprehensive site surveys and communicating security assessments in written/verbal formats
Military/LE Background: Hands-on operational experience, dignitary protection, or tactical law enforcement experience

Extended rotations during high-threat periods or high-activity events
Work in all weather conditions and varied environments (urban, rural, international)
