Full Job Description

Function: Provides supervision, leadership, and oversight of clinical, medical, and behavioral support staff of Disability Support Services (DSS) Residential, STRIVE, and Department of Children and Families (DCF) funded programs, consistent with the mission and objectives of the agency. Responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks, supervision of assigned clinical and support staff, and collaboration with staff members to address clinical concerns. Clinical staff includes BCBA, RN, LPN, OT, and Behavior Technician.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Master’s level professional in a related field of either social work or nursing with a combination of five years of administrative and clinical program management;
Experience working with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Support Plans (BSP), and Treatment Plans;
Knowledge of the most current DSM and ICD-10;
Familiar with DHS and DDD Division Circulars relating to clinical, behavioral, and medical supports;
Extensive knowledge and experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD);
Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity issues;
Team-oriented with strong organizational and collaborative skills and the ability to multitask;
Adapts well to changes in assignments and priorities with the ability to respond effectively to new information, changing conditions, and unexpected obstacles;
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Preferred: Medicaid/Fee-for-Service and electronic health record experience;
Must cooperate with the Office of Licensing, Department of Human Services (DHS), and Department of Children and Families (DCF) in any inspection or investigation;
Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultural/economic/racial/religious backgrounds and sexual orientations.
Must be able to observe members and clinical staff at the point of care: day program, group homes, and/or in the community.

Responsibilities:

Ensure policies, standards, and practices for all clinical programs are executed and maintained; organize and lead the (BMC) Behavior Management Committee as outlined by Division standards.
Initial and continuous development of clinical policies, procedures, and practices through disability support services.
Acknowledge, implement, monitor, and uphold all Department of Human Services (DHS) and Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing and certification requirements related to clinical supports; ensure the ISP Behavioral mandates are fulfilled.
Provide a collaborative leadership approach and oversight of clinical team meetings.
Ensure documentation across all clinical support programs is consistent and completed with DHS and DCF requirements; develop and write required reports;
Responsible for compliance of treatment plans, and other documentation related to clinical, DSS Residential, STRIVE and DCF.
Collaborate with Finance and Group Home management to ensure timely billing for (DCF) individuals.
Supervise and support all clinical leadership staff to uphold and implement agency and program standards, training requirements, plans and protocols;
Assure the department’s clinical crisis response team’s efficiency and effectiveness;
Monitor established clinical goals and objectives, data collection, and outcomes across all programs;
Participate in individualized service plan (ISP), interdisciplinary team (IDT), and child family team (CFT) meetings, as needed; train staff in best practice methods (including BSP’s).
Stays abreast of regulations, ensuring individuals’ safety, and Medicaid compliance;
Oversee (DSS) Residential Intake Committee, facilitate referrals, and collaborates with intakes of residential individuals.
Approve time cards and conduct annual reviews for assigned clinical staff; collaborate with the VP to set annual performance goals.
Attend, as necessary, weekly meetings to address clinical needs and concerns;
Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Disability Support Services.
