Overview
Join our innovative manufacturing team as a Junior Process Engineer and be at the forefront of advancing production efficiency and quality. In this dynamic role, you will support process development, optimize manufacturing workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced factory environment. Work closely with senior engineers and production teams to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, assist in design work, and ensure projects are well documented and followed up on in our project and maintenance management system.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Oversee and improve production processes in the plant.
- Familiarize yourself with roll-forming principles and press brake applications to understand and improve processes.
- Assist in identifying areas for process optimization within Roll Forming and Secondary Operations.
- Gather and analyze plant data to identify inefficiencies and support process optimization.
- Support senior engineers in implementing cost-effective and efficient solutions, including new technologies and data analysis.
- Assist in analyzing, creating, and maintaining setup charts to ensure consistency and accuracy in production.
- Recommend and implement changes to improve efficiency, reduce losses, and strengthen product quality and production yield rates.
- Assist in documenting projects and improvements and update information in eMaint.
- Ensure follow-up with senior engineers to track progress and complete projects in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the design of tooling, fixtures, and process-related improvements under the guidance of the production engineer and senior design engineers.
- Assist with CAD modeling and drawing updates to support ongoing projects.
- Apply creativity and problem-solving skills to develop practical, cost-effective design solutions.
- Actively participate in safety program and risk assessments.
- Support adherence to workplace safety and compliance standards in all activities.
- Work cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and design teams to support continuous improvement.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to drive accountability on projects.
- Gain familiarity with company products, machinery, production equipment, and the production team for effective communication and well-defined improvement request execution.
- Participate in training and hands-on learning to build a strong foundation in roll forming, secondary processes, and design methods.

Education/Experience:
B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or a combination of an AA degree with engineering experience. Minimum three years’ proven experience in production/industrial engineering, in similar metals industry preferred. Prior experience participating in lean manufacturing concepts, 5S and quality controls.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Outlook, Word, Excel), PS Data, AutoCAD, Cadkey, Solid Works, Barans.
