Latitude is seeking a Virginia-based Senior Corporate Counsel to serve in the permanent position of Director & Senior Corporate Counsel for a global provider of internet infrastructure and DNS services. Interested candidates should have at least 12+ years of in-house legal experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, providing strategic legal advice to business leaders, and supporting the development and launch of new products and services in the technology field. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the state of Virginia or eligible for admission as a Virginia Corporate Counsel. This is a hybrid position in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities for the Director & Senior Corporate Counsel:

Draft, negotiate and advise on a variety of complex commercial agreements (e.g., inbound and outbound technology licenses, service agreements, co-marketing and co-branding agreements, and software and SaaS agreements)

Provide strategic legal advice to the Law Department and senior business unit leaders regarding the Company’s registry and product and marketing businesses

Advise on contract interpretations and risk, policies and regulations related to the Company’s registry business, new product initiatives, advertising content and agreements, customer contract issues, and marketing programs

Understand and leverage internal and external resources to ensure compliance with U.S. and international laws and regulations related to the Company’s products and advertising, as well as top level domain registry operations

Ensure members of the Law Department are apprised of material developments and matters on a timely basis

Operate in an open and collaborative manner as a “team player”
Requirements for the Director & Senior Corporate Counsel:

12+ years of in-house legal experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, providing strategic legal advice to business leaders, and supporting the development and launch of new products and services in the technology field

J.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited law school

Licensed and in good standing in the state of Virginia or eligible for admission as a Virginia Corporate Counsel

Experience drafting complex commercial agreements and leading negotiations, with an emphasis on technology and content licensing

Experience supporting the development and launch of new products and services

Experience reviewing technical presentations, whitepapers, marketing materials, and regulatory and compliance-related communications is a plus

Aptitude to quickly absorb and apply new information and function as a trusted legal advisor with direct interaction with senior management

Excellent attention to detail, superior oral and written communication skills, ability to deliver understandable and practice advice, and demonstrate well-honed analytical and project management skills

Self-motivated team player with the ability to drive projects, identify and resolve issues and earn the confidence and cooperation of business leaders and legal colleagues

Able to multi-task, organize, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and interface with all levels of management

Compensation

Pay: The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $270,000. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
