Full Job Description

Lanigan Ryan is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and solutions-focused Tax & Audit Resource Scheduling Manager to join our team. This role supports our Tax Group and Audit & Assurance Group by helping coordinate engagement schedules, monitor capacity, and keep client work moving efficiently from planning through completion.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys creating structure, solving scheduling challenges, coordinating many moving parts, and using information to help teams make better decisions.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will help coordinate the people, deadlines, budgets, development considerations, and priorities that keep Tax and Audit & Assurance engagements moving forward. Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating engagement scheduling, staffing, workload balancing, and resource allocation for the Tax Group and Audit & Assurance Group, while considering staff experience, development goals, and appropriate levels of oversight
Monitoring scheduled hours, job status, due dates, budgets, charge hours, and capacity to help identify conflicts, bottlenecks, and workload concerns
Working with partners, department leaders, and the administrative team to gather information, resolve routine scheduling issues, and keep work moving toward completion
Providing regular reporting and practical recommendations to support staffing, capacity planning, and scheduling decisions
Supporting scheduling, workflow, reporting, technology, and process improvement projects as needed

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, operations, or a related field preferred

Directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Job Experience

Experience in public accounting, professional services, project coordination, scheduling, resource management, operations, or workflow management preferred

Prior experience coordinating multiple deadlines, people, projects, or departments is strongly preferred

Qualifications

Ability to balance competing priorities, resolve conflicts, and recommend practical solutions

Ability to provide guidance and direction to Tax Group and Audit & Assurance Group personnel who are not direct reports

Ability to coordinate many moving parts while remaining flexible, nimble, and calm under pressure

Ability to think operationally, use data to support decisions, and communicate recommendations clearly

Knowledge of Microsoft Office required

Experience with SharePoint, scheduleing software, workflow systems, or practice management software preferred

Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000
