Position: X-ray Technician

Location: Damascus, Maryland

We offer a range of services including comprehensive pediatric care, telemedicine, and walk-in urgent care. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled X-ray Technician/Medical Assistant to join our team at Innovative Urgent Care. This dual-role position requires expertise in both radiologic imaging and clinical support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures.
Ensure proper patient positioning, exposure settings, and radiation protection.
Maintain and operate X-ray equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Take patient histories, measure vital signs, and record information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Prepare and administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
Provide patient education and support for follow-up care and instructions.
Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked examination rooms and work areas.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Qualifications:

Certification as an X-ray Technician
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Nurse Tech
Current and valid state licensure for radiologic technology
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an urgent care, emergency room, or primary care setting preferred.
Strong technical skills in radiologic imaging and clinical procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
