VMI Specialist

Company Overview

Through strong relationships with customers and manufacturers, HTF has grown from a local distributor to an organization with international reach. With distribution facilities across the United States and Canada, our mission is to deliver exceptional service by providing the parts our customers need—when they need them.

Position Overview

HTF is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Specialist to support and grow inventory programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic. This role is responsible for managing daily operations of the VMI program, maintaining customer relationships, and onboarding new accounts. In addition, the position includes business development responsibilities, identifying and pursuing new opportunities for HTF’s inventory solutions.

This role reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain a strong understanding of HTF’s product lines, technology, pricing, and delivery schedules

· Prepare and organize inventory for daily delivery

· Manage day-to-day operations of inventory programs, including setup, maintenance, fulfillment, and onboarding

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts

· Identify and recommend process improvements based on customer needs

· Conduct business development activities, including researching and identifying prospective customers

· Maintain company vehicle and equipment, ensuring proper upkeep and scheduled maintenance

· Perform additional duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

· Account management experience required

· Minimum of 4+ years of experience in distribution, fastener, or hardware industry preferred

· Excellent time management skills

· High school diploma or GED required

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
