Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dependable (On-Call) Mail Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely and accurate distribution within the organization. This position offers flexible on-call hours, perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy supporting operational efficiency. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will help keep our communication flowing smoothly, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Essential Duties:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and abilities required to perform the essential duty functions:

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Receive and sort all inbound/outbound mail/packages, receiving and inventory experience.
Delivers mail to the correct department or recipient
Basic computer and data entry skills are required; Ability to operate shipping equipment, scan barcode packages and utilize package management software
Uses mail sorting and postage meter machine
Weighs outbound mail/packages and calculates the correct postage
Basic Mailroom duties and maintenance require an understanding of accurate,

Essential Physical Requirements:

Ability to read, understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 70lbs daily, walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time
Ability to pass a background, credit and driving record performance

Clear handwriting
Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
