New Patient Coordinator & Medical Records Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Patient Coordinator & Medical Records Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent customer service, managing patient communications, and ensuring accurate medical records processing in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

New Patient Coordination

Schedule new patient consultations using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Coordinate with referring providers to obtain all necessary medical records prior to patient appointments.
Follow up with patients who have requested consultations to assist with scheduling.
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation within the EMR.
Communicate professionally with patients, physicians' offices, and staff.

Medical Records

Process all incoming medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prepare invoices for medical record requests when applicable.
Collect payments for record requests.
Compile, fax, and securely transmit requested medical records.
Maintain accurate documentation of all medical record releases and requests.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a medical office, patient scheduling, or medical records preferred.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Compensation:

$18.00 (Based off experience)
