Full Job Description

PRN/Per diem opportunities available, must be flexible.

Overnight shift needed (higher starting rate for overnight)

Pay: Starting at $16.00 per hour plus bonus opportunities; higher rates are available for Certified Nursing Assistants and experienced caregivers.

Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to assist individuals in their homes with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, and committed to providing high-quality care to clients, particularly seniors or individuals with disabilities. This role requires someone who can handle both the emotional and physical demands of caregiving while offering companionship and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility, including transfers, walking, and positioning in bed or chairs.
Administer prescribed medications and manage medication schedules.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing the client’s living environment.
Offer companionship, engage in conversations, and participate in activities that stimulate mental, emotional, and social well-being.
Monitor and record client health conditions, including vital signs and changes in physical or mental status, and report to family members or healthcare professionals.
Provide transportation to appointments, shopping, and social activities as needed.
Ensure the client’s safety and assist in fall prevention and emergency procedures.
Assist with exercises and physical therapy routines as directed by healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare is preferred.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and respect confidentiality.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions and care plans.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Physical ability to lift and assist with mobility and personal care tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Empathy and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed in a client's home, which may include various living environments.
Caregivers may work during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, depending on the client’s needs.
This position may require extended hours, including overnight shifts or 24-hour care, depending on client requirements.
