Our Dealership is Looking for a Driven Accounting Office Manager to Lead Our Financial Operations

Are you a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional with a passion for the automotive industry? Do you excel in a dynamic environment and thrive on leading a team to success? If so, our dealership offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact as our Automotive Dealership Accounting Office Manager.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial aspects of our dealership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial reporting. You will be instrumental in driving our financial performance and supporting our continued growth.

What You'll Do:

Lead and Manage: Direct all aspects of dealership accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger, with a strong focus on our manufacturer open account.
Team Development: Train, supervise, and mentor our dedicated accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Financial Operations: Manage daily banking and floor-plan activities with precision and efficiency.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly financial statements to the auto manufacturer, ensuring adherence to their standards and procedures.
Month-End Expertise: Accurately calculate and accrue month-end commissions, and calculate and remit monthly sales and loaner taxes.
Reconciliation & Analysis: Play a key role in the preparation of monthly reconciliation reports and provide insightful financial analysis.
Strategic Support: Collaborate with management on various financial projects and initiatives.
Ethical Standards: Champion ethical, legal, and regulatory compliance across all financial activities.
System Optimization: Leverage your expertise in CDK DMS and manufacturer system to optimize financial reporting, analysis, and overall efficiency.
Office Leadership: Supervise and mentor internal office support staff, contributing to a cohesive and productive workplace.
Financial Insight: Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide valuable insights to dealership leadership.
Record Integrity: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date financial records.

What You'll Bring:

Accounting Expertise: Hands-on accounting experience within a dealership.
DMS Proficiency: Practical experience working with CDK DMS.
Foundational Knowledge: A strong understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Communication Excellence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational Prowess: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to accuracy and detail in all financial matters.
