KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager of Student Information Systems, the successful candidate will:
Develop applications including design of detailed flowcharts and routines, reviewing and analyzing user specifications in writing programming code, verifying program logic through QA testing, and writing application integrations.
Assist in evaluat i on, documenting, supporting , debugging,?testing?and improving business systems as assigned.?
Develop custom reporting and analytics
Configure, test, and support third party product modules
Interface with third party product support resources to resolve problems
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.
Contribute to curriculum development and refinement;
Provide academic advisement to students;
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession;
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or a related field.
Two to Three years of programming/analysis experience and/or training
Experience in SQL queries and programming with modern relational databases
Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, Oracle SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux commands, and Windows OS and desktop tools.
Demonstrated business analysis skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies independently with minimal assistance
Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must.
Ability to work evenings and weekends on an occasional basis to support critical issues and project upgrades
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission
Experience with instructional technology;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience supporting Ellucian Banner software or other Higher Education enterprise SIS and related software.
Functional knowledge in Banner Student, Financial Aid, Admissions.
Familiar with web accessibility standards and testing tools.
Functional knowledge of OnBase Imaging System.
Applications Development skills: ApEx, Pl/SQL -Developer or SQL Developer IDEs, JAVA, Javascript, Database experience (Oracle 10g and above).
Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Argos, OBIEE, PowerBI...
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Professional experience in a higher education IT environment.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL, database development, writing of stored procedures and functions.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time12 month, SL-3 term appointed, UUP represented position, beginning July 1, 2026, or as soon as possible, with an annual salary of $62,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience.
