Due to continued growth, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Timekeeper Assistant to join our team in Freehold, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong payroll background. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll data while supporting various administrative tasks within the branch. This is a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail is critical for success. Previous Union experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:

Assist in collecting payroll data for accuracy and compliance to resolve discrepancies or missing entries

Accurately enter weekly union and non-union payroll data, ensuring timely processing

Prepare and submit reports related to timekeeping and attendance as required

Resolve queries from teammates regarding paychecks, deductions, and related questions

Coordinate with payroll and HR departments to ensure proper documentation and timely processing

Understand union contracts and guidelines

Assist in the hiring process of union and non-union employees

Support continued development of an organized and efficient office environment

This position performs a variety of other tasks associated with documentation management and timekeeping activities working closely with field leads and supervisors

May be required to work periodic overtime to meet deadlines

Execute efficiencies for cross-functional department processes

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred

Proven experience in an administrative role, with a focus on payroll data entry preferred

Experience Passport and UKG Time is a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently as well as a team environment to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines
