Position Overview
The Multi‑Cloud Solutions Architect designs secure, scalable, and cost‑optimized cloud solutions across both AWS and Azure. This mid‑level role blends architecture, hands‑on engineering, governance, and sales support. As part of an employee-owned company, this is a ground‑floor opportunity for a technologist who wants to help build and grow a modern cloud services practice.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Engineering
- Design cloud architectures across AWS and Azure for applications, data platforms, and enterprise workloads.
- Develop solution designs covering compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and integration patterns.
- Support cloud migration initiatives using rehost, replat form, and refactor strategies.
- Build and refine Landing Zones, identity models, and governance frameworks in both clouds.
- Implement security best practices, compliance controls, and cost‑optimization strategies.
- Produce architecture diagrams, documentation, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and operational readiness.
- Evaluate cloud services, tools, and platforms to recommend optimal solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex multi‑cloud issues and provide technical guidance.
Sales Support & Proposal Development
- Partner with sales and business development teams to support pre‑sales activities, including participating in client discovery calls and providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
- Contribute technical content for proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Translate customer requirements into cloud solution architectures and scope statements.
- Assist in estimating cloud project costs, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Help develop standardized proposal templates, solution briefs, and technical collateral.
Growth & Leadership
- Contribute to shaping and expanding the company’s cloud services offerings.
- Identify new opportunities, tools, and capabilities that strengthen the cloud practice.
- Mentor junior engineers and support internal skill development.
- Bring a builder’s mindset — someone who enjoys creating, improving, and scaling new initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in cloud architecture or cloud engineering roles.
- Hands‑on experience with both AWS and Azure core services (compute, storage, networking, identity, databases).
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and network segmentation.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud migration methodologies and modernization patterns.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation).
- Strong documentation and communication skills, including the ability to present to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Comfortable participating in sales discussions and supporting proposal development.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in helping grow a cloud services business.
Preferred Experience & Certifications
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and on‑premises integration.
- Experience relocating full software stacks and on‑premises infrastructure into AWS cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to FinOps, cloud cost governance, and optimization strategies.
- Experience working with external vendors, partners, or offshore engineering teams.
- Background in regulated industries (financial, healthcare, education, membership) is a plus.
- Prior involvement in pre‑sales engineering or proposal development.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
